WEST WALLSEND

New South Wales Australia

West Wallsend's origins go back to the early 1800's
and was once a thriving coal mining town. The town
sits snugly in Sugar Valley and is watched over by
Mount Sugarloaf. On the other side of the mountain
are the vinyards and just half an hour to the east is
Newcastle and the coast. To the south is Lake
Macquarie which is the largest lake in eastern
Australia.
